Hey ya'll, this was my first time trying The Diamond, and I've lived in Charlotte since 2013. Go figure what took me so long. Today I tried the Fried Pork Chops, mac and cheese and collards with a yeast roll. DeeeeeeeeLICIOUS!!!! LoL, admittedly I was hungry, but giving credit where credit is due, the chops were tender with just the right amount of crunch and seasoning, not overly so. A Charlotte institution that continues to serve good Southern food.
I've been here three times now and loved it every time. They have great food and drinks and great atmosphere. This might just become Making Slow Look Fast Carolina Scooter Club's official hang out and meet up spot.
The Dixie Chicken is best chicken sandwich I have ever had!!!!
A good local place with good local food. Does not try to be anything that it is not, and that's a good thing because it has plenty going for it.
We visited the Diamond with Feast food Tours and had a slider and fried pickels, just a taste. DEFINITELY would get the regular size burger and pickles. YUM!

Waiter was awesome, food was great! Well the slaw, I guess that a North Carolina thing, this Texas girl wasn't a fan, but fried pork chops and Mac and cheese! Yummy
