I ordered a footlong chili dog. What I got was a footlong bun containing a regular-sized dog, several inches of dogless chili, and a tiny piece of a second dog on the end. Is this standard practice here? The mac n cheese was delicious but I was too mad about my hotdog (and my parking ticket for NOT BACKING IN) to care.

Fried pickles, Sweet potato fries, Grilled pimento cheese sandwich, Patty melt, hush puppies! Absolutely delicious! Large portions! Awesome service!
Usually great food. Went there with a party of seven. Asked to push two outside tables together but were informed by the manager that this is against their rules. Apparently we could ONLY sit at the big table. Cora and Wayne were the rudest and most clueless people I have ever met. If they keep up this horrible customer service they will soon meet the penguins fate.
My Aunt Flonnie opened The Diamond in 1945. And while the menu has changed, the atmosphere is much the same. Great food, interesting people and Charlotte at its finest!
My husband and I have loved this place for years!! We will continue to come back. Great food and great staff! One of Charlotte's best kept secrets.
Staff was pleasant and on point. Food was fresh and plentiful. Going back soon.
