Big Block southern style with pimento cheese and fried pickles can't be beat!
First visit on Sunday... was not disappointed. Samantha loved the grilled salmon blt - Nick had a grilled chicken blt that rocked and I messily devoured a grilled pork samwich thing. Our waitress Debbie even brought our dog Pepper a bucket of ice water. it was all good - you should go
Usually a good place to eat but today the service was very poor and couldn't get the fries with the burger then they were old mixed with new when they came
Who screws up a grilled cheese..... Oh wait the diamond did... The cheese wassnt melted i have pix and we already waited 20 min for the food. The fries were cold and they waitress well needles to say needs a different job.

The Diamond is a Charlotte staple! The food is great, the bar is spectacular and the people are genuine and a joy to be around. Put it on your Charlotte to do list!

Food was great, portions great for prices, yes, the service was a smidgen on the slow side ...it was Saturday night, for fuck's sake. Anyone expecting immediate attention at a diner on a Saturday night is on drugs. I look forward to the next time I have an excuse to eat at the Diamond.
This place been here forever and I used ta think it was a cool little dive but last time I went in there I was treated in such a cold and unfriendly manner I guess they thought I didn't belong or something. The waiter literally acted as though it was a waste of his time to serve me and rolled his eyes at me when I had to correct my drink order (a mere soda at that!) all because HE wasn't listening.
