My experience was very different from any other eye doctor I've ever been seen by. Her approach isn't conventional. My prescription is quite strong and Dr Fitzgerald had "out of the box" suggestions on how to treat my vision issues, without forcing anything. She explained the ways my eyes have changed through the years, and double and triple checked that I was okay/comfortable with her suggestions before moving forward with anything. We began seeing Dr. Fitzgerald because our friends recommended her. We are in our 60’s and have come to find D. Fitzgerald is the best optometrists we’ve ever had. No other doctor gave us tests like her office does and we feel very well taken care of. Dr. Fitzgerald truly cares and makes sure her patients have the best care.
Dr. Fitzgerald diagnosed my husband’s double vision that he had for years in the first 5 minutes with her. She made him glasses with prisms and he could finally see after this was not diagnosed for over ten years... She helped my husband’s right sided vision loss with vision therapy and he was able to gain vision back after his stroke many years ago! My daughter was at a softball game in the stands and was hit in the head by a foul ball. She began feeling dizzy on and off so I took her to a medical clinic to be seen. After asking her the routine concussion questions and holding a pen in front of her nose to focus on, we were told she was fine, no concussion and no explanation for the dizziness! We saw Dr Yehyawi today for the first time after we were recommended by a couple friends and unfortunately after a face plant into the snow lost one of my sons lenses (yaaaay kids lol) and I was BLOWN AWAY! We were told by other eye doctors that there was nothing we could do about my sons lazy eyes/partial blindness. He was determined and promised me he had ideas of things we can do to help him.
