As much as I hate being put in the Hospital, this is the Only Hospital that I go to and Trust. I've been admitted many times over the last few years,and they have Saved my life more than once,Literally!! Most nurses there are Great,some just Good and honestly Care about you,not only as a patient but as a human being. Now I will say that I was admitted for weeks this last time and they Definitely need more (techs PA's CNA's,) badly! The hospital is nice but the dr and phone nurses are incredibly rude.
This hospital may need a class action lawsuit for sending senior citizens wrongly coded expenses to collections rather than fixing the mistake they made. Only 2 % of Medicare denials are ever appealed. The appeals have a 80 to 90% success rate. The rate hospitals are paid on is a quality rate. With coding violations and overcharging dropping the hospitals billing rate paid to them by Medicare. Deacon Deaconess Gateway Hospital is so understaffed that they have nobody that knows how to change and urine oscopy bag when I know 13 year old kids that could change one it takes him forever to even actually come check on the patient or to feed them it's their job that's why we pay you guys all this money to you know take care of the patient when really don't do your job you said if I can computer and type all motherfuking day and then expect the family to actually feed them when that's your guys's job and you're supposed ... read more
Bunch of thieves work there
RecommendedI have been in several hospitals in my life. I can honestly say Deaconess Gateway is the best. The ICU is fantastic. The nurses (Jasmine, Alex, Melinda, Savannah) are extremely professional yet very human and friendly! The doctors are the absolute best they saved my life! If you need hospital care I highly recommend Deaconess Gateway!
They have the best staff. I would recommend anyone to go there. It's a very good hospital
My husband is currently a patient at Gateway. We were admitted into ER and tests were run immediately and a diagnoses was made at once. He is being treated for a condition we were unaware of. He is in better shape now and we hope he will continue to improve. The staff is top notch take excellent care of him. He has been quite ill for a long time, we continue to hope and pray for his recovery. He will never be the man he once was but we are more confident at least. Thank you Deaconess for your help.
I really appreciate the nurse’s and doctor’s of Gateway hospital. The ICU unit did an excellent job with our brother in his final hours and they worked with him and us in our struggles. I would recommend them anytime. They were nice to us and feed us. I just can’t say enough but Thank You for helping us and him in all the ways that you all were there for us. YOU were very compassionate. God Bless you!!
