I was interrupted several times and wasn’t even able to give all my symptoms before he decided what test he would run and took off out of the room. He was rude and didn’t even look at me while he was talking.
I've had 2 surgeries in 10 months for kidney stones..he was very attentive and even did my first surgery on a day that he is normally not in the OR to accommodate a pre planned vacation the following week.
Does not listen AT ALL. He essentially diagnosed me during our consultation saying "Women complain [about my symptoms] all the time and there isn't anything wrong with you." I gave him a second chance and went through his tests. It confirmed that there is an underlying problem but because he can't figure it out he doesn't care. He gave me medication for a condition that he doesn't think I have just to "try something" and tried to schedule me for surgery that he also doesn't think I need. Burday was very arrogant and put little effort into my son’s case. I can not believe there are not more mechanisms out there to prevent guys like this from working with pediatric patients.
A gentleman and a scholar! In a country that expects instant gratification, I am grateful for someone like Dr. Burday who takes the time to explain, allows the patient to ask questions, is conversational and respectful even during those odd times when surgical procedures are necessary. There isn't another specialist in his field that am aware of that is more professional and courteous. If, as someone intimated, he is dismissive, he was most likely dealing with an unreasonable patient. James E.
Not a particularly good listener. Found him to be somewhat arrogant and dismissive.
