Flying into and leaving from HNL is always miserable. For the amount of traffic you get, it would be great if you could invest in windows and air conditioning. Even ITO is enclosed and has AC.

Nice airport. Signage is lacking and layout is a bit confusing. Open air airport in most locations and was a little warm but it was 90 degrees when we arrived and departed. There was a lack of rental car location signage. We didn’t check bags but logic and experience told us to head to the baggage claim area to pick up a shuttle bus to our rental car. Looks like only about four companies have cars on sight and the rest are a quick shuttle bus away. Getting to our gate to mainland USA was an extra scan of bags and a shuttle b... read more
