Needs a total makeover.i am so envious of other airports like the one in Korea, Singapore and Thailand

Horrible old, crumbling airport held together with duct tape. Nowhere to eat land side of TSA check. I love the gardens in the center of the airport.
The question is “Do I recommend this airport?” Short answer is yes. Longer is you really have no choice if your going to Oahu! It’s a nice airport, reasonable food and drink choices and usually short tsa lines.
There was a man actively vomiting through his face mask, all over a walkway and a trash can in the middle of the lobby at Honolulu airport. At least 5-7 employees walked by. After 10 minutes a guy walked by and handed him a single paper towel. This is why we have a global health emergency, about to be even worse.
8am flight and no tsa pre check honored. 22 people on our flight were late and delayed. Shame on you #TSA.
Poor service esp customs. Very rude!
Good airport looks like alot of changes are happening. only issue is it is really spread out. was there 3 or 4 times before i found out they had a shuttle bus.
I really like the open design and easy to get to rental car areas.
