The CS crew lovingly serviced my old school 1997 Specialized retro Rock Hopper to perfection. If you need your bike serviced, which I recommend every few years, these are the guys to take it to. In addition I’ve purchased bike lights, helmet & clothing and they really know their stuff. 5 stars. Ben :)
The staff are unhelpful and even if you want a minor repair to a part of the bike, they will make you wait for an unreasonable amount of time. I took my bike (that i had bought in the same shop two months prior) to repair a small component that would take a few hours to do so, yet I was told I would have to wait five days. Even after waiting for five days I was told that I would have to wait a further three days for the repair to be made. I turned up to the shop and still no work had be carried out... This is my local bike shop and it really does depend who you get running the store. I’ve been in there and met some absolutely brilliant mechanics with a wealth of knowledge- I wouldn’t dream of taking my bike elsewhere because some of the guys in there are that good. Other times, like today, you are greeted by a lack of customer service and someone who actively tries to talk you into taking your bike to another store/bike shop. Really helpful staff. Very knowledgeable when I went in to pick out a bike for my daughter
Took in wheel for new tyre and tube. Told they couldn't do it now as had to clear up the shop. (Clearly the customer does not come first; the stock does.) I told them I had come here by bus and would have to go home and return, sorry have to clear up first. Said they'd call me it would be done by noon. 2.30 I called them, Oh they thought it wasn't urgent. Collect wheel late pm to find it costs £52.99.
