A lovely peaceful campsite in tranquil surroundings on a working farm. Lovely to be surrounded by a variety of farm animals and a very friendly goat. Basic but adequate facilities, large pitches with great views all around. The owner Michael was very laid back and if help was needed couldn’t do enough for you. Just a short walk into Ravenglass and Muncaster castle. Would highly recommend Cumblands Farm and will definitely return.
To be quite honest, the location is undoubtedly stunning — and is situated fairly close and in walking distance to nearby towns. The farm animals can be a problem however. Typically, the cows can be fairly loud and the goats tend to wander around. The goats can be a bother as they often tend to follow you around. Hot water must be paid for. Other than that, I guess it was quite alright.
