Excellent help from cost cutter employee today. Showed so much patience and knowledge when I was attempting to send a parcel back to Evri.
It’s very sad to see how rapidly this shop declined following the takeover in Summer 2024. While I allowed for some teething issues as the new family got used to running the place, it has been about nine months now and I’m regularly finding myself walking out without buying anything, because either the “fresh” stock is rancid, or they don’t bother replenishing the things I always buy. Who runs this circus now? They've never got what I want so I think I'll go elsewhere where there's a better choice. Sice this shop got taken over recently it has definitely gone downhill. My advice, shop elsewhere!
If I could give it 0 stars I would. I went in for the first time to return a parcel by Evri. As I got to the till the lady and man pointed to the left and said "machine round the corner". I then turned around and fell over a large basket that had been put on the floor, causing bruising to my ankle. The couple behind the counter laughed at me and showed no concern that I had tripped over the clutter around their counter. Do not buy tobacco from this shop it's no good brought 30g amber leaf and it's clearly knock off tobacco drier than ghandis flip flop totally different colour to normal amber leaf much darker brown than it should be and don't smell good at all! been using this shop for years but the moment it got taken over 6 month's ago it had proper gone down hill, I've smoked enough tobacco to know when its knocked off tobacco which their selling at a top price won't be using no more, i wish the old owners still run it !
