Hey i to was buying a home using CrossCountry Mortgage and now reading thru comments see the same thing happen alot sounds a lil funny but yea went thru everything credit was 637 and payed 725 for appraisal and 500 to homeowner and 500 to lawyer and 685 for engineering report 350 home inspection and give them all the papers they needed multiple times the company i work for sent them stuff and now payed for all this with money in my bank just to be told a day before we was to close they couldn't expect my money for down payme... read more
They will cost you money and your time. They were not honest with me upfront. I submitted all my documents and was pre-approved. After the closing date was extended I was told I had not been receiving my second income long enough. This was very incompetent of the the Loan Processor ( Sheryl Woodruff) who was not updating my file. Had I been told this in the beginning I would not been out of $1800. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Worst experience of my life! Never knew where we stood in the progress of the loan. And when we thought everything was in place for closing more excuses and delays would happen which would then change our closing date. We lost out on a home because of this but stuck with them because they assured us it wouldn't happen again. Well that was a lie because we are 1 day away from our closing date again and more excuses have come flooding in and now we are stuck wondering if we will lose another home because of this lender.
They Approved me for fha. I needed conventional loan. Chris Molina said I was approved and had my approval letter ready to send. We needed the letter to make an offer. It took 3 days to get it after he said it was ready. After I called twice a day to get it. and it was the wrong one it said fha on it. when I called and told them he switched it to conventional and it was approved they told me it wasn’t approved. he avoided our calls the entire day.
Listing date 15 July. On contact with 72 hours. Closing date 28 august. Cool right? Well today is the 6th of October and I am stuck in an empty house. Lost my new job. Savings being sucked dry because this company is too retarded to cut a check. They offered us 1500 USD extra to keep our mouths shut. We told them no thank you we would prefer they just do their job. In Maryland we had a tremendous experience with CrossCountry. It is upsetting to read the unfortunate experiences that others have had. We had daily communication with our loan officer and his team throughout the entire VA IRRL refinance process. I consider myself more knowledgeable of the loan process and therefore felt more comfortable asking questions for anything that may have looked out of place. I would not work with Cross Country Mortgage for a loan, especially if it is a jumbo loan. They were disorganized, made continual and increasingly complex document requests at the 11th hour, which ultimately delayed our closing, and frankly, it felt like they were submitting us to a tax audit to get a loan. Our closing was delayed because of their errors and omissions and I would work with someone else.
Nightmare place to deal with. Don’t do it! I started dealing with Jon ******when starting my VA refinance loan. Everything he promised was a lie except for my 2.75% rate. He said I would close on Aug 20th and that definitely was a pipe dream and he really had no clue when I was going to close up until two days before today on 25 September 2020. Please DON'T get trapped with this company. The WORST company that I had the displeasure of working with. I would not wish this on anyone. The most unprofessional, disappointing experience . It felt like TORTURE is the best way to describe it. This company caused me so much pain and suffering in addition to spending additional money for their careless and sloppy work.
