Cross Country Mortgage wrote a pre approval letter for the person putting a contract on our home knowing that this person DID NOT EVEN HAVE A JOB, we have now lost the sale of our home, lost the home we were two weeks from moving into and have lost $3000 in expenses plus now we have to fight to get our 5K deposit back. My suggestion is that you train your employees NOT to write a pre approval letter if they are not currently employed

Hi Tracy - while we can’t share confidential information included in specific loan file, a pre-approval is just the first step in obtaining a home loan and documentation for income and assets are not required until later in the mortgage process. poor rates for vets. I was told by the loan officer that they would "price match" but I asked them why wouldn't they just offer me the best rate upfront with out having to get a lower quote? they told me the branch manger had to make money!

They were so awesome here. I heard a lot of people tell me that home buying process is a nightmare because of all the endless paperwork among other things, but I didn’t feel any inconvenience at all. In fact the whole time I was working with Bobby Clifton and his team at CrossCountry mortgage, I kept thinking “ok tomorrow must be when the issues will start” LOL! We had a very positive experience with CC Mortgage. Our main contact was prompt, provided updates as needed, insight and recommendations at times, and supported our agenda. We were all around pleased.
Horrible experience with Gail Hillman. She lacked proper communication and never provided informative updates. I had to constantly ask for update and my phone calls were never over 5 min. She would tell me one thing and the builder another. I feel like I wasted months and a lot of money on her and the credit guy she referred at FRS credit. We were so happy to part ways and move forward with another builder, who is already providing a DETAILED plan to get us started with a new build. I highly do not recommend Cross Country!!!
