The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. We take a lot of pride in our food. My favorite item is the Shrimp & Oyster Diablo; a shrimp, oyster and 1/2 Jalapeno wrapped in bacon deep fried and basted in BBQ sauce. ... read more

Recommendedwent here for my birthday weekend last night. food was great as we got there before happy hour ended. got fresh oysters and drinks 1/2 off. the manager came over to check on us and I told him we needed a fan as it was very hot. he then turned one of the big fans toward our table. great! then he gave me a $25 gift card as a 80th birthday present. the music was a bonus as always. I love it there.
now this time we went to the Kemah location and the food was amazing! The only thing i wasn't jazzed about was the cigarette smell. other than that all was good!
The food was fabulous. As you can see the before and after. The key lime pie was out of this world!! If I am ever back in the area I will definitely be back
