The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. We take a lot of pride in our food. My favorite item is the Shrimp & Oyster Diablo; a shrimp, oyster and 1/2 Jalapeno wrapped in bacon deep fried and basted in BBQ sauce. ... read more

Every chance I get if I'm ever down Houston way, I gotta get my fix of the Swamp Shack. Crab and corn chowder or is it bisque?...whatever it is get it! Not just the cup but the bowl! Seafood enchiladas are amazing as well! The grilled oysters which ever king get it! Fried shrimp and catfish. Fried gator. Get the appetizer sample platter. And then there's the various seafood platters. It's a good meal!
