My visit went very well. I was pleased
I saw Dr Crain for several months for debilitating knee pain. He gave me cortisone shots and sent me to PT. PT lasted a few weeks, was very painful, and was stopped because the physical therapist diagnosed it as a miniscus tear. Crain would not consider surgery and was brusque and in and out of visits in a matter of minutes. I went to a different practice where the dr watched me walk in and said I needed surgical repair (he’d also reviewed my records). Very thorough and took time to show what was happening with my knee.
He took a conservative approach and the cortisone injection went right to the trouble spot. Felt better by the time I got home.
Visit was smooth and accomplished what I needed. Dr. Crain explained possible options starting with least invasive and going to more complex. I was very pleased with my visit.
Long but worth it. He is a great doctor.
I appreciated that Dr. Crain allowed me to be with my 85-year-old mother in the exam to encourage and comfort her. It was beneficial to both of us...and maybe Dr. Crain, as well.
