It was a good gp but the new appointment system doesn't really give in person appointments and making an appointment is so much more complex which is frustrating
Doctors surgery's everywhere get such bad press lately. Systems have changed and its all part of our changing world and the strains on NHS. This is reality. I have today had an appointment with Dr Victoria Smith. Bit nervous due to the problem I had to talk about. She immediately put me at my ease, listened intently to my every word and gave me so many reassurances. Did a thorough check on me. They are amazing!!! They're so quick to get in an appointment and get back to you when you need it and they are especially good with my 2 year old son. Only 4 star is because the mental health team isn't the best and I can never seem to get an appointment or a follow up, it's exhausting. Apart from that they're really good!
I can't get an appointment on the phone anymore. You have to submit a request online and just hope you get seen. This system is bad too, doenst include many basic conditions so you're left filling in the wrong form because you have to pick one The receptionist can't help no matter the severity. Update: since this change, if you can get an appointment, they are more prompt and no longer start 20 minutes late at 9am. Helped me leave the attached pharmacy after they messed me around for 6 months.
