I sent my sunglasses in for a repair consultation and was prompted to contact Costa after a couple of weeks. I tried calling 3 days in a row and ended the calls each time after waiting on hold for approximately 20 minutes each time. I then sent an email through Costa's "Contact Us" message system at which time I got an auto response saying I'd be contacted shortly. 24 hours later still no response at all. On 6/29/18, a supervisor in the Call Center reached out to the consumer to discuss repair consultation and this matter has now been resolved, with a positive outcome for the consumer. Costa sincerely apologizes for the delay in our email response to the consumer and we are working to improve our email communication timing as well as messaging. Costa Del Mar only cares about the first sale they have LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE! I own about 12 pairs of 'good sunglasses' ranging from Kaenon, Maui J** and 6 pairs of Costas. When I stock piled 9 damaged or warranted glasses I mailed 2-3 pairs each to the respective companies. The only company to have LOUSY customer service is Costa. I don't really have an opinion on the quality of their glasses since all are comparable. However, the customer service I did not receive at COSTA is astounding. Ms. G*****'s initial contact with Costa's Consumer Care Department resulted in confusion due to miscommunication regarding multiple orders that she has on file with us. In an effort to sort out the confusion, our Consumer Care Supervisor, Christy, reached out to Ms. G***** directly on 5/21/18 and offered her a pre-paid shipping label for any and all Costa sunglasses that she needed repaired to be sent in directly to Christy's attention. I have waited on hold for hours trying to get in touch with someone @ costa del mar. I have emailed them on their online contact tab. no response. All I need is a screw sent to my house. I do not want to pay there $11.95 fee for sending them back and I also do not have the time to do that. I need my glasses for memorial day weekend. I have owned costas for going on 8 years now. On 5/2/18, a supervisor in the Repair Shop reached out to the consumer to resolve this matter and address stated concerns. The consumer's repair issue has since been resolved and the consumer is satisfied with the outcome. While our records cannot validate the consumer's claim about an hours-long hold time, the consumer did indeed experience a 2-day delay with our email response system, which we will be adjusting to ensure a smoother, more positive experience for our consumers.

I just sent this email to Costa about the service I received yesterday 02/27/18: Dear Costa, I have two pairs of glasses that need repair. I have worn Costa's for offshore fishing for years. I went thru the online process, my RA# is *********. That is for one pair. I was prompted to print the label. I HAVE NO WAY TO PRINT IT AT THIS TIME!!! I called. On 2/27/18, Costa experienced an unexpected server issue which resulted in a longer hold time than a consumer would typically experience. On 3/2/18, we called the consumer back to assist with his damaged sunglasses and to review our Limited Lifetime Warranty for manufacturers defect, as well as our Repair program, should his glasses not be covered under warranty.
