Latest pair of prescription sunglasses would be great if the numbers on the lenses didn't interfere with my vision ! It creates a blur and is very annoying. They say it's a must have for prescription sunglasses and cannot be changed with the larger wrap around frames?
Not worth your money I had four pair with every pair having a different defect not perfect like website says or advertised and when I pointed out the defects they get rude and defensive and lack good customer service buyers beware Costa's not as great as they seem
Business response:
Mr. B***** filed a warranty claim for a manufacturer's defect on a pair of his COSTA sunglasses. He was sent a brand new pair as a replacement for the warranty claim. He then stated that the new pair had a defect on them as well. He came to the COSTA headquarters to have the glasses he received inspected. No manufacturer's defects were found on the glasses; however, as a gesture of goodwill, he was given another brand new pair and allowed to keep the other pair. Prior to leaving the office, he inspected the brand new pair an... read more
Not the most satisfied with my recent experience with Costa. I sent in a pair of glasses that had unfortunately been damaged. I had read wonderful things about their repair and replacement process so I went ahead and gave it a shot. I sent them my glasses on 9/12/19 and received an e-mail yesterday, 9/19/19 stating that my frames were discontinued. They gave me the option to choose a new style and lens (not just any style though...which was unfortunate because the ones that I could not choose from were more my style). What t... read more
Have had a prescription pair for slightly over 2.5 years. They were close to 3 times more than typical prescription Oakley sunglasses. Lenses themselves are great; however the frames have not held up well. The nose pieces completely wore off after the first year, which I just dealt with as it wasn't worth the hassle of having my eye care provider send back to the company. I should've been proactive though as I was cleaning the lenses and the entire frame broke in 2. Went to my eye care provider and Costa quoted $180 to repla... read more

I received a pair of costas for mother's day 2018 and the lens fell out a few months after with zero damage done to the glasses at all with very minimal wear. Sent them in for the lens to be replaced and received an email stating that THIS REPAIR CANNOT BE APPROVED AT THIS TIME. And they charged me to ship them back to me. This is 100% a faulty pair and they refuse to stand behind their product. I then started researching customer issues online and I read that this is a major issue with these glasses and they repair some and... read more
Business response:
Costa Consumer Care has already spoken to Ms. O****** regarding this situation earlier today (8/27/18), based on social media posts that she made. The email that she received had a link in it that she clicked, which took her to her account page on the Costa website, which displayed the message that she stated "THIS REPAIR CANNOT BE APPROVED AT THIS TIME". This is because the warranty was already processed, due to her pre-authorizing when she set up the warranty claim online. There was no further action that needed to be done... read more
********* I just bought these $200 sungalsses for my wife and there was GLUE on the bottom of the frame. I assured my wife they would fix them being a defect on their part. NOPE! They said she dropped them and there are scratches all over. I call to complain and just ZERO respect in customer service. Will NEVER reccommend them for the***** poor job they do to make customers happy.
Business response:
A Supervisor from Costa contacted Mr. B******** regarding this situation and was able to resolve to his satisfaction. The frame on the Costa sunglasses in question is being replaced under warranty. All warranty processing fees that were charged to Mr. B******** are being refunded. The sunglasses have already shipped and are due to be delivered today.
Love the quality that goes in a pair of Costas. With that said, any issues I have had with any pair have been either repairs or replaced easily. I most recently had an issue with the coating/layers on the lenses starting to delaminate. I sent them in and since they were discontinued they sent me a pair that I got to pick to replace the old ones. Without any extra charges or anything. If you aren't wearing Costas you aren't seeing everything.
I bought a pair of prescription Costas for around $800 around 12 months ago. They have been the best sunglasses I've ever owned. However they have delaminated twice in 12 months and have had to be sent back under warranty and repaired. I've been charged processing fees which is fine. My concern is if they continue the pattern of delamination I will be out of warranty in a few months. If it's a manufacturing defect, what can I do. I sent an email to Costa over three weeks ago asking them about this situation. I received a rob... read more
Business response:
Mr. L******** is correct in that he has had two delamination claims on his Rx glasses within the past 12 months; however, this is not a common occurrence for Costa Rx lenses. It is our hope that he will not experience any additional issues with his lenses, but should there be an issue that does occur outside of the warranty period for a reason determined by our Rx Warranty Team as manufacturer defect, we would evaluate the option of replacing them. Should Mr. L******** experience any additional issues, either within or outsi... read more
I have had my Costa sunglasses for 10 years and I love them. I have sent them in for warranty work a couple of times and they have sent me new glasses and a new case a couple of time. Their service is awesome! I recommend them to all my friends and family.
Business response:
Thank you for the positive feedback, Tom! We appreciate you being a longtime consumer and fan of the brand!
