The worst mortgage company in history!!!!!! 9 different times they have "Misplaced" my payments both insurance and mortgage in the past 18 months. I spend hours on the phone getting copies of the transactions to them. Not once has it been proven to be my fault. I can't wait to refinance and get rid of this company. A very angry customer

Horrible company, do not do this business with this company. The loan process itself was fine. The servicing side of the company is where the issues are. Just absolutely horrible. I would give them zero stars if it were allowed.

Corner Stone is a very poorly ran company and does not adhere to standard business practices.. Once your home loan is paid in full Corner Stone is NO help at all. I never received my Title/Deed only a paid in full letter and was told by a Cornerstone representative that I need to obtain the documents I was seeking thru the county. I have had nothing but issues with Cornerstone. I would avoid this company at all cost; I have called and have been transferred to seven different people and still have yet to resolve this issue.. ... read more

Cornerstone in Green Bay, WI was great to work with. Very responsive to emails and quick to answer any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get a mortgage.

The folks are Cornerstone helped us refinance our home in addition to pulling out equity for another project. And they did it all right when the markets went crazy as result of COVID-19. Everyone we dealt with was professional and prompt, and we couldn't have pulled off the deal we ended up with without them. Absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone I know regardless of how simple or complicated your next home purchase or mortgage will be.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR GOOD CREDIT BE WARY OF USING THIS COMPANY. The refinance closing process wasn't bad, had the normal hiccups but nothing too serious. After they get your loan is where the trouble begins. Their online payment system is like something from the 90's and won't let you pay your mortgage anything but the exact due date or later (how is that legal? but guess this way they can force more interest and try and trick you with late payment fees). Worst customer service ever. If you want to have a company that you call 10 times and get 10 different answers, then they are for you. Its been a nightmare just to get them to release my lien after paying off the loan in full.

Absolutely the worst mortgage company I have dealt with in over 25 years. I have owned multiple homes during my service with the military and up until not I have not had any issues. I specifically asked for Cornerstone not to transfer my loan to another company and here I am looking at the transfer of my mortgage to BB&T. I'm not even going to fight it as this point because if you don't want my 420k loan then I will let someone else take care of it and treat me better.
