Small but interesting venue tucked away in Coombe Lane, Kingston. Supplied water to Hampton Court Palace in the era of Henry 8th. Only open a few times a year. Very knowledgeable volunteer guide.

An iconic ineresting historical left over from an earlier age of water works for the King...King Henry VIII. Its remarkable how much trouble they took to construct it, partly with salvaged ecclesiastical stones from the dissolution of the Monasteries.
If you enjoy Tudor history, this is fascinating. This serves as Coombe Hill's water gathering hub, directing multiple springs into this place. It used to feed into two lead pipes that went to Hampton Court via a Kingston, under Norbiton Station, down the hill, and across the riverbed. About three miles away.
