what a shambles!!! we had nothing but problems from start to finish. our first solicitor (or fee payer as they call them) was Lizzie Kirk, we started the process in March, all was going smoothly until the stamp duty increase at the begining of April. I was ignored, both on telephone voicemail messages and emails. when I eventually spoke to Lizzie, she couldn't even remember who I was. Got a quote online. nearly £1000 more than my next cheapest quote. Also its an "estimate" so obviously going to add more on at the end. I found a fixed quote with a local firm who I can meet face to face and speak to on the phone.
