I’m usually not one to complain, but I had the most unpleasant experience at the Medwell on Scalp Ave with Todd Smith PA-C today. He was so rude and unprofessional. I was basically yelled at for coming to Medwell for a viral infection and “seeking antibiotics” when the infections was viral. Like ok Todd if I knew it was viral I wouldn’t be here. The interaction between patient and provider was completely inappropriate. I will never go back there. If you don’t have bedside manner, than you shouldn’t work in healthcare.
The wait time at the Conemaugh ER has beem over 10 hours from when you enter the ER to when you leave. One visit was over 14 hours. This is unacceptable and never happened before Duke took over. I would recommend Windber ER before you end up camping out at Conemaugh ER or drive to Pittsburgh even with the drive time you will get bet much better care and save hours. Maybe even your life.

Nope 👎 I would not recommend this pos hospital. Unfortunately it’s a hit or miss for anyone who decides to go here. Having the twins they treated me like crap and here tonight waited FIVE hours to be told we were waiting for someone to come see my daughter after being told initially someone was coming within a minute of the last report. I ain’t got time for games and bs. You just literally have no common courtesy.
You oughta be ashamed of the girls in the family medical building (E building) at the desks. They’re openly mocking patients’ symptoms and medical conditions, and I about lost it when I heard my own mentioned out loud.
My grandmother was recently admitted for two nights after her surgery. When I was there, everyone was especially conscientious of her needs, making sure she was comfortable. From the ASU to the PACU and up to the floor, my grandmother commented on how caring and concerned all the staff were. She said that she felt safe and at ease because of the care she was given. Thank you, Conemaugh!
This is the most incompetent hospital. Because of their incompetence I now have stage 4 cancer. From my PCP, Emergency personal, Urologist, and any other so called medical professional, that had seen me over the years, you have cost me my life. Other doctors that are out of this area would not even recommend anyone go to this facility. You will be hearing from me in the nearest future.
I do not recommend them. This hospital is the most racists, most disgusting, most disrespectful hospital I have ever been to. The new company they have brought in, to take over needs to be shut down. The place is a mess I had all my children their and most recent was in June, the food service was horrible I starved for 3 days. They were supposed to come into my room to order my food in person, but they never came in they lady would just mark anything on the paper and turn it in because she was lazy.
