Extremely disappointed with Collingwood Boat Builders. What should have been a dream purchase has turned into a long, frustrating, and costly experience. While the boats may look appealing at first glance, the build quality and aftercare are seriously lacking. My concerns include: Paintwork was unsatisfactory on day 1 and failing within months but the company refused to rectify it. They did repaint the bow deck but this took 3 years from reporting! Brought a sailaway widebeam in 2023, my issues with their build are below: 1. Engine failure at 3.6 hours (bent crank from factory) - obviously little to no QA on their "finished" products. They blame the engine supplier and the engine supplier blame their supplier. In reality if I build a car and put a engine in it, the buck starts and stops with me. They wouldn't acknowledge ownership even though it was paid for and moored on a Marina. All documentation incl. manual took 2 months to arrive. Still fighting to get touch-up paint.
