About this business

Established in 2012. While the modern day version of Cohen's Retreat began in 2012, the sprawling 5 acre estate is an icon of Savannah's history. Built in 1934, the main building functioned as a nursing home for over 50 years. Renovated by the current owner, Cohen's Retreat has been lovingly restored to become one of the City's most eclectic destination for art, food and community. A must-see hidden gem off the beaten path! Artisan Market, Guest Cottages & Restaurant!

Clean, super friendly & knowledgeable staff, great location, and the decor is out of this world. How we've overlooked this place for the last 30 years we'll never know. we'll be back, that's for sure.

Very poorly run business. They use open table to make reservations. So we reserved a table for 7 for a Birthday dinner celebration 6-8 weeks in advance. They preceded to call us 7 hours before our reservation to say they could not accommodate us that night. Never apologized or explained themselves. Not sure how anyone could run a restaurant like this and stay open. We were actually going back for a second chance visit after the first visit involved horrible table service by the wait staff. There will be no third try for this... read more

We consistently enjoy having dinner at Cohens Retreat, which we do often. We never feel rushed, the food is exceptional, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable. It’s the perfect place to go for a wonderful night out without going downtown and having to fight for parking. The bar is fun and low key and the restaurants decor is interesting. It’s also fun to meander through The Brown Dog Market while waiting for a table or after dinner. Love love love Cohens Retreat!
