Fabulous first visit to Cleeve Abbey. Very interesting. Easy parking. I managed almost everything on my mobility scooter. No cafe, so take refreshments, or there is Torre Cider farm down the road where you can get coffee and cake. Very friendly and helpful lady at Cleeve Abbey. Will definitely return. Our dog absolutely loved it too!!
Interesting historic site. Not as ruined as most English Heritage properties! Some interesting medieval floor tiles.
Very well preserved abbey, with some unique and interesting features. But the guide book it explains the history and context very well. Enjoyed our time wandering around and learning a little. If not members buy tickets online beforehand, they are slightly cheaper.
