This place sucks!!! Very unprofessional, dirty. Never again!
The ER here is a joke. I brought my daughter in with ongoing stomach pains, they did blood work, a urine test and an XRAY of her belly and said it must be constipation, gave her Mira lax and ibuprofen. Which she took for a week. Her stomach pains continued. I took her to canton potsdam, it took them 10 minutes to rule out constipation, and a CT to tell us what was wrong with her. I arrived at 3:30 this afternoon w my 95 year old grandmother. After 4 hours they finally did a flu test which came back positive. We are STILL in the ER waiting for a room and a dose of Tamaflu. The bed and the prescription was assigned/written for an hour ago. Furthermore, the doctor has never returned to tell us ANYTHING. She was here to examine Gram and ordered some tests but never bothered to come back and explain anything. Thank heavens for our nurse, Erica, or we wouldn't know a thing. I had an upper endoscopy(EGD) on 1/18/18. I’m very pleased with the whole experience. Great nurses and doctor. I highly recommend it.
1 star too many in my opinion. This will be our second thanksgiving without my grandpa. He received a routine colonoscopy from this hospital, and four weeks later he was dead. Most likely they perforated his bowel. His calls to the doctor over pain went unanswered, he went to an emergrncy room at another facility, was transferred to a higher level of care, but he ended up septic with an ischemic bowel. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hospital!! From the aides, to the LPN’s, to the RN’s, to the Docs, to the Respiratory Therapist, to the Dietary Specialist and the other important staff in between, they treated my 95 year old patient with utmost professionalism, kindness and compassion while keeping us updated on every aspect of his care...The wonderful staff here made his stay as comfortable as humanly possible...I’d recommend this facility to anyone for their healthcare needs!!!
Our daughter had tubes put in, tonsils and adenoids out and a lip tie snipped today and the 3rd floor was AMAZING! All the nursing staff made her feel at ease!
The staff at the Physical Therapy Dept. do a excellent job. They are so very nice to me when I'm there. I will always go there when I need therapy done. Thank You so very much for your help.
