They are AWFUL. For the past year and a half, medical issues (2 foot surgeries) have prevented me from using the gym at all. I haven't visited since well before COVID. They charged me monthly fees even though I froze my membership. They charged me an annual renewal fee. When I called to tell them I needed to continue my frozen membership, they tried to charge me late fees for several months (and never notified me of any late payments). In addition, the rep I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and disrespectful. I cance... read more

My 17 year old son went in for a trainer.. We told **** that my son would be going back to school next month .. **** says ohhhh thats fine he can make changes.. Yesterday we go in and tell them. He needs the trainer once a week instead of twice.. with work and school he won't be able to come.. they refused to help us. told us to write corporate and then laughed in our face.. he is in a 12 month contract with these people.. when I was signing I was expecting my card to be used because my son is still a minor and signed nothin... read more

LA Fitness recently changed their name to Esporta in CT, offering a much lower rate to its new members, 50% lower to be exact for the same amenities you were getting under the LA Fitness name. I have been a member for 3 going on 4 years paying $49 monthly to be able to bring a friend and also visit any LA Fitness in CT. Membership now is $24.99 for the same deal. Nothing in regard to the gym has changed, no updates, in fact fewer classes are offered now. When I questioned if my membership will go down I was told that in orde... read more

The prices on their website are fake. They use simple bate and switch tactics.

The ****** club has very low cleanliness standards. The pool/hot tub area is Always dirty. I have seen bandaids laying on the floor for a week at a time . The pool always has mold and nasty **** lines (with gum) all over. The swimsuit dryer hardly ever works on the womens side. They would rather have standing water all over the floor in the locker area than fix the dryer. The exercise area is ok as far as i know. The employees are usually friendly .

I joined LA Fitness *****************, **. at the beginning June 2021. Everytime me and my friend go to work out we're NEVER greeted by one particular person who was identified as ******. The staff do not wear name tags and act as if giving someone name is top secret. I wish I would have read reviews before joining said club. Today 6/28, I was harassed by the person "named ******". As I was leaving the gym she yelled to me "did you get the number?" in front other club members, then she proceeded to follow me outside the gym ... read more

The exercises on my first first personal training session caused my wrist to break. I had let the personal training department head who did my consultation know I had health issues in my assessment, When my actual trainer showed up, he wasn't at all aware of the issues I was dealing with, came completely unprepared, strolled in casually, and the lack of professionalism and awareness for an expensive experience was dumbfounding but confiding that with the push on the exercises caused me to fall from the stepping bag, and brea... read more

I signed for a personal training membership with ******* at this store the main reason being is he said they weren't holding people to the contract. He marked it out on the paper form and told me to ignore it. That there would be no contract for us. I guess I should have known better than to sign electronically without any of those same marks on the paper. I started working nights during the week and couldn't make it to any of them. Near week 3 I decided I would cancel it as was my right according to *******, it's 200 a mont... read more
