In June 2021 I submitted my cancellation in person and left feeling confident that this company had followed through with my request only to be billed the following month. Once I found out about this charge I promptly called them to advise them that they made an error as it has been 30 days since the cancellation has passed. After discussing this matter by phone with the store manager I was told that they would cancel my membership. This company takes your credit card/ debit card information to enroll you in their club. Withdraw your funds immediately and like clockwork, but for some reason, they cant push a few buttons and withdraw your membership. You have to download a form after logging into your account and jump across several menus to locate the cancellation form. Fill out the form and mail it to the corporate office snail mail. I cant cancel the personal training sessions at LA fitness in ***********, and they cant seem to get it canceled. I signed up for 6 months of training and I was told that if i don't like it or don't want to do it anymore that wild be it. After 3 months i was trying to freeze the training due to extreme amount of workload, but instead of 3 mounts they only freeze it for one. An LA Fitness training manager used my membership to sign someone up for personal training session just so he can fill his quota now every month I am getting for services I did not want or sign up for. He and his friend forged my signature to do this.

The personal training program is a complete rip off, and they continue charging you even after the contract is up. After numerous calls and hundreds of wasted dollars, I finally got a cancel confirmation. How is it legal for them to just keep charging on an expired contract? Terrible company.

I signed up for a membership for me and my husband about ******************************** 2007 and cancelled my membership. I was still charged and they finally cancelled my membership in 2009. I just realized that my husband's membership was never cancelled. I have been paying for it for the last 11 years. My husband never actually went to LA Fitness even once EVER. I have been charged $4,289 over the last 11 years for his membership. I called LA Fitness and they gave me a refund for the last 90 days. I hardly think that is... read more

I would just like to add my disgust at how LA Fitness does business. In January 2021, I joined the guy and was rushed through signing a training contract, which i never got a copy of after that meeting. I got one training session and decided I did not want to go back because the gym was super busy and no one wore masks, even though Covid was still rampant. My partner and I cancelled memberships in November 2020. We took the paperwork into the location and confirmed with the staff member that was all they needed. Last month (July 2021) we got charged for a membership fee and an annual fee - upon further investigation we also got charged in December 2020. I called to find out that my account had successfully been cancelled but my partner's had not.
