The worst customer service I ever received. Being a long time customer more than 8 years you don't treat your customer they way Hanover customer service representative Briana treated me. She refused TO CONNECT WITH ME WITH HER SUPERVISOR. At least Be human

I have house insurance policy with Hanover. August 23, 2019 a water pipe in my basement broke and saturated my 28 year old furnace. The furnace began misfiring and at least one part of the furnace shorted out. A few hours after the pipe burst I had three professionals, one with serv pro, one with Consumers Energy, and my personal furnace professional, **** *** of ********************* all report to me the furnace was significantly damaged by water. Stay away from this company. My roof has obvious roof/wind damage and they are refusing to cover it. I've had two contractors tell me the whole roof is damaged from wind and Hanover's claims adjuster stated only a small number of shingles were damaged and the other damage is from a "manufacturers defect." After several conversations and the adjuster changing his story multiple times, they said out of good faith they would only cover 2 sides of the roof. Horrible customer service. I was a victim of an accident with one of their corporate clients. Can not get a response from anyone and when I do they are rude. It's been 4 days and I am still without a vehicle because mine is not drivable and they have not provided a rental car.

This is the worst insurance company a person could have. The delays and bad faith offers to settle, plus they don't want to answer time demands when they are supposed to. Offers are low balled and not in accordance with injuries, value of vehicle and precedence for similar claims. Their insureds should look into legal counsel and possibly file Bad Faith lawsuits due to non-protection of contract!

I would give it 0 stars if I could. They qoute you at one monthly premium. Then raised it without notice by over $100 then when we cancelled they still charged us the following month. I called 3 times to get my money back but they haven't. One person told us she saw in our account that we were owed that money still and tried to send the refund to us but it wasn't approved by the people who send them out. If I could give no stars I would. We had a water damage claim that we filed in May 2018. Our adjuster was Mike Smith. It has been a horrible experience trying to work with him. He low balled the estimate so bad and couldn't be reasoned with even with 2 licensed contractors estimates. We had no choice but to hire a Public Adjuster a few months into the claim process. worst insurance company ever. drag their feet on claims and no recourse other than a lawyer. i was hit by one of their clients and they even admitted fault and six months later, i still haven't gotten paid or reimbursed for medical claims. apparently you need a lawyer to deal with these people according to historical reviews. what a waste.

Do not spend your hard earned dollars paying premiums to this company! Only collecting premiums and trying to deny claims at any cost. Have roof damage to my house that their adjuster deemed non-repairable, then they turn around and deny the claim. 95% of my neighbors had storm damage and had their roofs replaced. State Farm, American Family, Liberty Mutual, even Allstate paid their claims, not Hanover.
