The food is awesome but it's so dang hot in here we're loosing our appetite...and the waitress (management ?) doesn't seem to care.
Fantastic food from local farm and friendly staff. After dinner we went across the street to get ice cream, I had forgotten my keys in the booth and our waitress ran across the street to give them back to me! Congrats on your fabulous staff!!!
If your in town and do not stop here you will miss a great burger, then blame no one but yourself....
Hands down the best onion rings and fried pickles I have ever had. I'm very excited they came to Richmond; I just found out and will be going there directly after work today for a Steakhouse burger.
I have never been more dissatisfied with a restaurants service. The atmosphere was poor with inadequate staff to help the customers. Our braindead waiter said no more than "May I start you off with a drink" as he was running away from us never to be seen again. The food is mediocre at absolute best. The best part about my meal was receiving my check so I could leave-- only to find out I had been overcharged. Do not waste your time or money here.
Had terribly slow service at this place in Charlottesville last night. We were seated relatively quickly but our waiter hardly ever helped us - other staff runners brought all of the food & then our waiter & the manager didn't properly split our checks. When we pointed out the error they didn't correct it & today my friend's card was charged $25 for her $12 meal & I was charged $9 for my $4 drink. Don't waste your time. Thank you again Rebecca. Multiple split checks are something every independent restaurant tries to find better ways to deal with. Many places these days charge a fee for things like that. We are very proud that we are able to avoid fees of that nature, and that we were able to take care of you, even if only after the fact. Probably one of the best burgers I've had and the place and people were awesome....will be back
Ate at CB after a day of touring Monticello and visiting UVA campus. The food was very good and great portions. I don't really understand the water in wine bottles. The glasses they serve it in were not sparkling clean. I would have ordered a beer, but the wait staff never asked. She handed me the beer menu, but then walked away and never asked again if I wanted anything to drink. Chalked it up to the place being busy for a weeknight, and it was raining so they couldn't use the outside seating.
It's a nice atmosphere with good staff. Food is excellent, beer selection is top notch, local items prevail. It's hip, but not hipster. Also the bar staff are excellent people.
