I've been living here with my daughter since her accident on 2/25/2016 and we have been treated wonderful . also we have made some life long friends here.
Cincinnati Childrens saved my son's life. He was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia at 7 weeks old. We went to Kosair in Louisville first and they performed a surgery on him called the Kasai procedure. After that, I knew something wasn't right. I listened to my instincts even though kosair was telling me my son was fine, and took him to Cincinnati Childrens. They determined that he was septic. We are at children's hospital a lot for frequent visits and procedures with our child d/t chronic kidney and urological issues. We have been lucky to have Dr. Minevich (urologist) and Dr. Goebel (nephrologist) as our specialists. All the nurses, Lisa in particular, have been wonderful! The child life specialist program they have is amazing as they distract the children during difficult times and procedures and turn a negative experience into a positive one for the child. Wonderful hospital!
My daughter had a PDA repair! She is only 15 months old and they did a great job with her! I'm very happy with the way we were treated and the quality of care she received!!!
Here is the only and #1 reason I will NEVER take my daughter to cincinnati childrens hospital for her emergency needs ever again. I took her to the dr Tuesday for her vomiting and diarrhea and they gave her Zofran and told me if she continued to vomit while on it take her to children's for dehydration. Well she kept vomiting so I packed her in the car and took her to cincinnati childrens libirty wednesday.( She only looked a tiny bit better then she did on thursday) you could tell she was dehydrated. We scheduled our appt on line and were seen as soon as we walked in. Extremely friendly staff. Much better waiting at home than waiting there around all the other illnesses.
I've been sitting in the ED waiting room now for 2 hours. This is the 2nd time within the last month that we've been here. AGAIN having to wait for well over 2 hours. I understand having to wait and there's a "protocol" but this is ridiculous!! Then when you ask an employee a question you get a look as THEY put THEIR cellphone down like you are bothering them. Amazing experience at the Mason Urgent Care! We signed in online but arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled time. They took us right back and truly cared about my daughters well being. They did not let us leave until we were comfortable. I was so impressed!
