I'd like to give a great, big THANK YOU to Terri who works at the check in desk at the Neurology & Neurosurgery Center. I showed up at 10:00 am for a 12 noon appointment, my last appointment of the day. When I checked in at the kiosk, it informed me that I was too early and to come back in an hour. You have a team that doesn't sugar coat the facts. You gave us answers when we were lost in our sea of questions involving our TTTS laser ablation surgery at 22 weeks gestation, which saved both of our twin sons. My baby girl ashlynn is in nicu as we speak.she was born nov 9 2015 and was only 29 weeks along with having a congenital diaphragmatic hernia.she is currently fighting her butt off and the entire nursing staff that we have come in contact with is amazing!we never have any un answered questions and are always informed about every little detail.we couldn't ask to be in a better place.
We recently moved to the area and I needed a psychiatrist for my teenage daughter, so Children's hospital was the first place I looked, as I wanted the best of the best. Imagine my shock when I was told they have no doctors in the psychiatry department accepting new patients. What?! How can a world renowned facility have an entire department that has not a single doctor accepting new patients? It has definitely changed my opinion of this facility.
My youngest had a device to close her ASD...I am so happy she was referred to Cincinnati Children's and Dr Hirsch!
This hospital is amazing.The medical staff is the best too.
My daughter that is 6days old is here as I type this, and I want to say that the nurses here know what they are talking about and doing. I had to wait in the er for a while, but they made sure I was comfortable, me and my daughter. When I got to my room, they told me that there is a camera system that I can watch my child from my cell phone whenever I want, so of course I did it, they were a VERY big help to the stress of what's going on.
I know you shouldn't love a hospital and the 5 star reflects this but the service and charisma is this place is fantastic.
I'm disappointed by the state of Children's in Cincinnati. On Monday, Oct 26, 2015, we took my grandson for a post op check up. Not only did we wait for an hour to see his surgeon for 14 minutes, there are no longer toys to keep these babies occupied, & the worst thing was the open trash can of bio disposal in the middle of a room a 17 month old toddler was assigned.
