As tomorrow approaches, I can’t help but think about what we were doing exactly 1 year ago. Sitting in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital awaiting one of the single, most scary days of our lives. To know that your baby is about to have open heart surgery the very next morning is a feeling that I’ll never forget. So full of emotions, we get through a long night and a dreaded 8ish hours of surgery.
