My sister had prenatal surgery for her baby boy that was still in the womb. The baby had spina bifida and the surgery went well. Both my sister and the baby are doing great.
Love the staff, the nurses, the doctors... Just a fantastic experience in a rather difficult situation. Happy to have them in our court.
Worst hospital ever, they tried to tell me that gas weighs 35 pound. They didn't fix was was wrong was wrong with me, they kept blowing my mom's question off!!! I was impatient for a week before coming to childrens for another week. They made testing errors not to mention approximately 10+ medication errors! Purely disgusted after having two surgeries in one week. If it wasn't for my mom Mandy, their is no telling what else they would of done wrong. The doctor's that only really cared were her GI team. Our 4 year old was seen by Dr. Thomson in ophthalmology at the Mason location. She was wonderful with Hank, and took her time to answer our questions. Her nurse, Tracy, was encouraging to our son, and so patient when he had a hard time with the drops to dilate his eyes. The registration staff was quick, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!!
I was so impressed with this hospital during my niece's surgery and stay. They were wonderful.
Excellent care with Neurology and Neurosurgery. Nursing staff shows the highest quality of care with compassion. Our 5 year old just spent 23 days there and everyone treated her as if she was the only child there, everyday. We are truly thankful and blessed that this hospital is within driving distance for us.
Our daughter has been a patient at CCHMC since January of 2000 and we have ALWAYS had an awesome experience. Everyone we've interacted with has been kind and caring. Since our daughter's first visit we've never lived closer than 6 hours away. We've had the opportunity to experience other hospitals (usually do to urgency or time constraints) and always end up back at CCHMC. Thank you Cincinnati Children's!
Everyone from the first person we talked to did everything they could to put my granddaughter at ease. And they were successful. All procedures were explained on her level & covered thoroughly which alleviated most of her concern. The icing on the cake was the "educator" who let her see and touch everything the doctor was going to use to sew her stitches. (or as they called them "string bandages). It is obvious they specialize in "children" And the do it extremely well
