I was told by two other vets that my dog had a likely case of hip dysplasia (non specialist but had genuine care) and this led me to over Googling and become somewhat determined in thinking he needed surgery. However luckily my specialist vet (Mr Alex Li) was extremely knowledgeable and aware that perhaps it was more of a muscle strain.
