My Niece, Darien Marie Fouts-Whittington was a patient as a small child 5 years old in approximately 1998. Very traumatic experiences for All involved in accident. We all did alot of praying together. Miracles can happen. She was in car accident, broke her left hip. The Doctors, Nurses were excellent as well as Staff! She did have Surgery performed, in a hip cast from waist to knees in spread eagle position for what seemed longest time ever. They have rude staff. They pick on certain people
The staff here is absolutely amazing! They all took wonderful care of my daughter. Everyone we encountered was sweet and very helpful.
I have had nothing but a series of negative experiences with CMH from questionable medical choices to rude staff. I had an appalling experience with the GI department who didn't conduct tests properly on my son and then told me to take him to his pediatrician (who, you know, referred us there in the first place) because he had a "developmental issue." He didn't. And if they'd done the tests properly, they'd have known that. The pediatric GI doctor at KU just shook his head when I told him what they'd done. Thank god I had th... read more
I would rewrite what I tried to put on here, but facebook apparently doesn't allow you to report the truth ..do your research on procedure cost is all I can say.
My NICU graduate had his high school graduation yesterday and is off to culinary arts school. I cannot begin to explain how thankful I am for the physicians and staff at Children's Mercy. Without you, it wouldn't have been possible. Please share this with the NICU staff- Noah was inpatient there from 5-5-00 to 7-24-00. (See pictures in comments)
I have always been pleased with children's mercy but what were they thinking putting a subway by Same day surgery entrance! Did they not think of the Hungry children that come through that door going in for surgery. Kids don't understand why they can't eat and they don't care. And then you wanna taunt them with the smell of Subway. SMH all I can say is this a big fail
Everyone that we ran into from the doctors to the volunteers were awesome. Made the four hours we were from home worth it.
