I just had a kidney transplant at Tampa General on March 31, 2016. My sister was my donor. The staff here is just incredible. They took care of every request. Eased every fear. And made my stay comfortable that it almost brought a tear to my eye leaving them. If anyone ever has the absolute privilege to have mrs. Tonight I was at TGH and got to see first hand why we are blessed with Dr's like Dr Bob Hooker and Dr. David Halpern along with tbeir amazing team. Thank you for taking care of my family.
As an RN, whether I questioned what or why, I had to deal with residents who merely skimmed my complex medical history and did NOT review charts before seeing or treating me as a patient! The physicians, from interns to attendings did not make me an active part of my own plan of care, and this is a supposed "magnet", "teaching", "Level 1 Trauma Center" that is following the most relevant evidence based practice and basic, essential, standards of care!! The nurses , D octors, theripsts were excellent I was well taken care of in 2011 ICU ( as much as I can remember) Morephine is a wonderful helper when you are in extreme. Pain
I wanted to write a note about our stay at Tampa General Hospital. My mom started in the ICU , the staff and every team was amazing. When we moved to a " medical floor" I was concerned. Too much happened to go into detail suffice to say the staff was amazing. If we had an issue it was addressed immediately. TGH is a world class hospital.
They're amazing they saved my little brothers life!
My physician ordered a test at Tampa General Hospital. Since I tire easily, my long trip to Tampa is hard on me. I am so thankful my time in the facility was not. Thank you to everyone that was a part of my visit today-valet parking, information, registration at Hospital and HMT, wheelchair transportation, technician and McDonalds. The technician was so professional and caring. Thank you to the person that helped with directions in the hallway, when I became confused. I truly appreciated the care I was given today.
