one day ill have time to write my story but childrens saved my 4 month olds life & my 4 year olds .. i thank everyday for the people who helped us in the NICU and on the transplant floor ..our journey isnt over but to know we have a place to save our children thats what matters ! though weve had some incidents where we met with not so nice caring people the ones who do care and are very heartwarming made up for that !💚💙
I feel awful having to use this means to communicate, but I'm being left no choice. My family and I have been here since 10:30am for my son's T&A, tubes, and phereneum removal surgery today, and he has been admitted for an overnight stay. Since leaving his post-op recovery room around 4:15pm, we have been assigned to a room on 6B with another family. All the doctors and nurses have been great, very kind and been taking care of my little girl to make sure she gets to go home, I thank all the staff!
My son was born in a different hospital with complications immediately after birth. At a little over 24 hours old he was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and placed in the NICU. He was eventually diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, a grade 3 hematoma, a portal vein thrombus, and hyperglycemia. Nothing about NICU life is predictable, an amazing morning could be followed by one of the worst afternoons. Had my daughter there today for a same day surgery. The staff made my daughter feel comfortable the whole way. Anesthesia team answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. Dr. Tobey did great with her. She came in to explain everything before hand and then came to us after and let us know how she did.
All the Doctors, Nurses, and staff in the NICU and the hospital period are wonderful people. I can never thank you all enough on what you have done for my family and how well you treated my son. You all are truly wonderful people. Thank you all so much!! I wish I could give you more than five stars because you all deserve it.
My son had to have sedation for an MRI. I was so nervous. Our nurse Emily C. from radiology really made our visit manageable. She was amazing!! We wore our astronaut suits and he hasn’t quit talking about it! He actually said he had fun and wants to go back! Thank you to all the staff for making this day go so well!
