Absolutely appalling experience. I rented a vehicle for the weekend of 5th–7th July and was shocked at the state it was in. Two of the tyres were completely bald—borderline dangerous and likely illegal—and the car was overdue for a service by more than 6,000 miles. God forbid you call this place without a reference or case number. They called me, left me no voicemail no text message. Booked a car before arriving accepted my request took my money then they call to say they have no cars so when asked for my money back the lady said it’s been refunded but could take 5 to 7 days to show on my account I needed the money to book a car elsewhere either don’t take the money in first place or have a system in place where the money is refunded straight away be careful people make sure they have cars before booking don’t understand why it don’t say no cars when booking very disappointed and will never use again
Had amazing customer service from George at chief rentals. They were able to supply me a large van at discount at short notice when another well known rental company let me down.
Fast and easy car rental process. Good quality vechile for a few days around Devon. Staff friendly and helpful. Would book here again in a heartbeat.
