Not impressed with the food. Had the flash fried collards. They are a novelty but I wouldn't call them a gourmet food. Wasn't impressed with my waitress either.

Four of us went together. We all loved our food. I had the shrimp and grits which was delicious, and the Lima bean small plate. Those were the best limas I ever put in my mouth. The wait staff is phenomenal. We felt pampered.

Unpretentious, understated elegance. Extraordinary distinct flavors of fresh food in every bite. Welcoming patient staff- we felt more like a private friend's comfortable home. We did not want to leave, nor did we ever feel rushed. Well worth the trip!

This was our third time to Chef & the Farmer, and this time we brought our in-laws from Nebraska. The food was the best yet, and we had a fabulous time. Susan (hope I'm spelling it correctly!) was great, and Maria the sommelier was so helpful. Thanks to the whole staff for making it such a memorable experience!
