SUCKS!!! Chicken fried steak tasted frozen and the fried shrimp tasted worse than Chinese buffet fried shrimp. I ordered onion rings as appetizer and was told they won't be out til after our meal. The service was AWFUL!!!! Waited 35 minutes to get our drinks, then an additional 15 for bar drinks- then we were served a completely RAW steak, when it was ordered medium. The waitress never came back for refills during our entire visit, manager never checked on us even when we repeatedly asked to speak to a manager to report the terrible experience. Went in today with family that came into town. First was seated and didn't get a waiter for 20 minutes until we got up to ask what was going on. We then asked for a manager and come to find out they seated us at a table that the waiter was on a break. It was ridiculous. They really need to build a couple more cheddars in the rgv. The wait time is ridiculous.
When placing the To-Go order, they hung up on me without giving me time when ready or how much the total would be. The service at the to go area was poor - Kept getting things wrong. Forgetting Kids drinks - Had to be told about them and 1 was still wrong. Forgot a main entree - told them about this - When received they still forgot the bread that comes with the entree. I have eaten at Cheddar's Restaurants for a couple of years now. My girlfriend and I had our girl's day out lunches here and at the 290 location. My first disappointment came when they removed the steamed edamame from the menu along with Corona Light beer. Then not long after that they removed the Napa chicken sandwich and replaced it with a Tuscan chicken sandwich. Not as good as the Napa but it still met my dietary needs of no red meat.
