After a couple of year’s pain in my knee culminating in 8 co-codamol and 4 naproxen every day, I visited Mr Willis-Owen and following a scan, he told me I needed a total knee replacement. I had the replacement on 27th August and now 6-7 weeks later I’m walking with a barely detectable limp, virtually pain free and happy. I couldn’t make my appointment due to getting injured dislocated knee on the way to the appointment. Slipped in the rain. and know he won’t even let me book another appointment even though I let him know in advance. So not happy and writing this is not what I want to do but has to be done. Was very much looking forward to getting my issue sorted but seems like it isn’t going to. I don’t like writing one star reviews as I believe in second chances for people but not today it seems.

Prompt appointment and really helpful follow up. Communication from Dr Willis-Owen was great, he went out of his way to ensure I was treated as quick as possible. Definitely worth the money to put mind at ease so quickly. Thankyou.

Struggling to walk for several weeks and with persistent pain in my left knee I booked a consultation with Charles. In just a few days I had an MRI, a diagnosis and a plan for recovery. Thanks to Charles instruction and guidance I successfully managed to recover the knee and avoid replacement surgery. Throughout the recovery Charles took time to explain the nature of the injury and the progress as it healed and was very supportive. I would highly recommend Charles.

Charles, as he invites me to call him, has been absolutely top notch from start to finish. He is the very definition of ‘bedside manner’, clearly on top of his game in every respect. He really took the time with me to get a sense of how my injury was affecting my life on every level, then explained all my options clearly, chicking in to make sure I understood.
