What an embarrassment for the City of Edinburgh. Chargeplace Scotland pretends it does have over 95% reliability, yet these points are not working more often than not. And apparently nobody thought of having a warning light indicating a fault, so you try to charge your car, get charged a £35 holding fee( refunded later) only to discover it is broken. 22kw charging speed available however my car is limited to 11kw. Loads of spots available. Use the Electroverse app for a discount down to £0.40 per kwh I did pick up a puncture here so be careful!
Out of use when I visited and seemed only a very low (16kw) charge would have been available
These chargers are rubbish. Firstly, they hardly work. You must repeatedly initiate the charging cycle and hope it actually works. You can spend up to five minutes doing that. These are the only charges I’ve encountered around Scotland that have this issue. Secondly they are significantly overpriced at over £0.5 per kwh — blatant robbery and a terrible deal struck by the council only to enrich an oil company at the expense of tax payers.
