Just got open water certified! CIS took care of everything in a very professional and organized manner. Mike was a fantastic instructor, and he really cared about getting each one of us certified. We were able to efficiently reschedule times for open water training due to bad weather. I really feel that I have benefited from this class and feel very comfortable diving because of it. I would highly recommend CIS!
Lots of fun and I felt safe and secure-- not only when it came to being in the water with Mike as my instructor but also in knowing he won't just pass anyone because they paid for the class. He is willing to work overtime and have students really learn scuba safety and procedures. I'd recommend this class to family and friends for sure!
My wife and I recently completed our SCUBA certification with CIS. The class was excellent (thank you Larry!!) and we had a great time! An unexpected but welcome addition is that we have some new friends and are already planning our next diving adventures. The staff at CIS are top notch. Mike and Laz know their stuff and they do a great job. In addition, they have a wonderful selection of gear in their shop. And, they're really nice people too! I highly recommend CIS!
Had an amazing time getting certified. The class was thorough and Mike is an amazingly patient teacher. We plan on diving with them again in the future!
Just completed Open Water Certification with Channel Island Scuba, what a great experience! The material in the classroom was clearly and well taught and questions were answered with in-depth and complete explanations. But the time spent in the water was the best! Although it was a group class, the level of individual attention was very high. Larry is the man! My wife and I had a great time getting certified this past month. The facility is clean, prices for gear very reasonable and competitive with places like Amazon, and the instructor, Larry, is very detailed in his instruction and patient with the students. We did two pool days to get comfortable but what was most exciting was the beach day followed by the all day boat trip to Channel Islands where we did 3 dives on a boat that included breakfast, lunch, and a delicious brownie Definitely would recommend the ... read more
These guys are professional without being intimidating. I recently finished the SSI Open Water Diver Course offered through the shop. The dive masters are encouraging and accommodating every step of the way. Although the course progression is quick (completed over 2 weekends), I never felt rushed or inadequately prepared for what was required to become certified.
