I have used Cornwall and Devon transmissions (St Austell Branch) for many years as I am a Garage in Padstow, I spoke to the Devon branch and the person on the phone was so rude and unhelpful, he even told me that he could not give me a price on striping the gearbox down and checking (even though I had to give the customer a quote) he told me that he just didn't care and that is why I will no longer be using them again. I hope no one has to experience this. If I could I would give no stars.
Total gear box failure identified Monday am. Work quote accepted - work due to complete on Friday. Work completed Thursday am. Customer service was excellent. Mechanical problems explained in language I could understand. Car collected Thursday pm - clean and washed with a 12 month/12000 mile warranty. I was pleased that my local garage (who were unable to carry out the work) recommended C and D transmissions.
Being on holiday and breaking down is a nightmare...........but the team at C & D went out of their way to get us back up and running as quick as possible. Very much appreciated. Don't hesitate to contract them, very helpful.
I have had 2 vehicles go to C + D with unspecified transmission issues and in both cases I got exemplary customer service, quick service, regular updates and clear, concise and very reasonable repairs done - one which turned out to be a brake issue. Their diagnostic service is very useful and has given me great clarity on what the issues are - before I put my hand in my pocket for repairs..
I was recommended to Devon and Cornwall by another garage when they couldn't sort out my car. I phoned and asked about prices for the repairs on the car not really knowing what the problem was except what I was told.The man on the phone then told me that there would be a 50 pound charge for a diagnostic test before he could really say what was wrong.
