Casa que?!?!? – I've only been to this pizza parlor once. I might have to go again so I can savor the flavor (or lack there of.) All I can recall is that this small parlor is so cramped I feel like a sardine while im dining. There's always a large crowd waiting out in front of the restaurant to dine. The pizza is nothing special yet its all I ever hear anybody rave about. Pizza hut is better for crying out loud! The crust is really thin, the sauce is bland, and the cheese is just above average. I dont know what all this talk... read more
Follow the Locals – There is a reason for the often long waits to get in. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and it's so cheap a poor college student can afford to get an actual drink instead of just water. You're not on campus long before you hear about this place. Don't be scared about having to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, it's just makes you feel like a regular the first time you go.
What is wrong with you people? – Are you nuts? This is the worst pizza I have ever had. It tastes remarkably like my mom's--this is not a compliment, my mom uses a Pilsbury crust out of a box and bland sweet pizza sauce out of a can. Add rubbery, salty, strangely cooked cheese-like product and you have, simply, the pizza of the cursed. This was reccomended as the best "New York" style pizza in LA, and all I can say is that it must be the New York of an alternate universe. This is remarkably bad pizza by any standard, but is ... read more
amazingly, this place is that good – the hype about Casa Bianca has been the same since I've been going there for the last 12 years: Great pizza, cheap prices, the best home-made sausage, average pasta (but who goes there for pasta), nice waitresses, homey feeling and A REALLY LONG LINE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Here's the insider's trick: if you must have pizza on Friday or Saturday, invite some friends or another family and call ahead. They will take reservations for groups. Otherwise, call in your order and take it home. It... read more
Mama Celeste, anyone?? – I have lived in Eagle Rock for years, and do NOT understand the attraction to this place. I don't enjoy being treated like cattle, to eat AWFUL burnt cardboard pizza, with canned sauce, and still taste the can. It reminds me of the WORST frozen pizza from the supermarket. Cash only??? Don't look at the filthy ladies room either!
excellent pizza – casa bianca ranks in the top 5 pizza joints in l.a. the crust is superb and the sauce is delicious. casa bianca's pies fall sort of in between NY style and CHI style. the crust is not too thin, and not overly thick. it's nice and chewy and there's a sweet touch in there that makes it perfect. i guess you could call it CA style, but without all the pomp of frou frou attitude or toppings. in all senses of the word, this truly is a "joint"...family style feel, friendly wait staff, walls covered with headshots ... read more
Momma Mia – Okay, so L.A. is not a pizza town. But in the midst of our the pizza wilderness lies the ever-popular Casa Bianca. A thin, chewy crust is unlike any other in L.A. Get the fried eggplant and sausage pie. And steer clear of the mediocre pasta. Also get there early, there's usually a long wait.
Casa Bianca Pizza has a 4.6 star rating with 1,353 reviews.
