Delicious – I have traveled most of the world.I have eatin in many countries,I believe Casa Bianca has the best pizza I have ever tasted. The review that says the pastas are gummie and sauces flavorless is not true, I have tried many dishes in this resturant and everything has been delicious.
Cheesy Pizza Pie – This place has delicious cheese pizza and cheesy red and white tablecloths -- but that's all part of its charm. The pizza pie is straight out of New York. Don't waste your time with the toppings, cheese is all you need.
THIS PLACE SUCKS – I don't know if it's the classic neon sign or the hordes of people waiting outside on the curb, but Casa Bianca has succeeded in fooling everyone into believing they have the best pizza in town. They don't even have the best pizza in Eagle Rock! If you want a real meal, head down the street to Colombo's where you can get great steaks, Italian specialties, stiff drinks and live entertainment. Casa Bianca is not worth the hassle. You will be disappointed.
Not NY but still good! – I've been going to Casa Bianca for years, since before the secret was out. You did not always have to wait for a table, like you do now. No, it's not as good as New York Pizza, (being an Italian, ex New Yorker I know what I'm talking about), but let's face it, WE'RE NOT IN NEW YORK! This is still pretty good pizza. The crust is thin, and not soft enough to do the NY fold without cracking, so yes you need a knife and a fork, but if you keep the toppings simple, say maybe extra Garlic & Tomtoes, it's w... read more
What is it with this place? – I really can't understand how anyone could think the pizza -- or any other dish -- is edible. The pizza sauce is sour, they use canned mushrooms...it should have one of those "teflon" ratings in Zagat -- no matter what bad reviews you give to this place, there's always someone who insists it's awesome. I just don't get it. I don't buy the assertion that it's anywhere close to real New York-style pizza at all. I just got back from New York and the pizza there is beyond compare from anything I've ... read more
Yuck – First impression--it smells good, it's very crowded--this may be good. Then, 45 minutes to get a table. Fortunately, all that time to kill means I can dash somewhere to get money--as we horned in to sit in the tiny waiting area, I saw the "cash only" sign. After getting back, being seated and waiting more to get noticed by the terribly overworked waitress, ordering, and waiting more, it arrives--and disappoints. The crust is cardboard junk, the sauce is metallic, the cheese is oily and burned in spots, and the stupid ... read more
Pizza like an Italian Mobster wants it. – This is the best damn pizza this side of Sicily. Get it here and you will truely know what can make a hairy grown man cry. If you don't like it I'll shoot my friend Vinnie here...
Great Stuff – OK, granted, the guy at the front desk is not the friendliest, but I could care less. The pizza is outstanding, the waitresses are nice, the antipasto salad is great (as is their bread). I have been going there for over 20 years and have never found a pizza in So. Cal that I like more.
don't be fooled – I was told that if I wanted to get NY pizza in LA, go to Casa Bianca. This is nothing like NY style pizza. They cut it up weird, it's got leathery-wierd tasting cheese, the crust is gooey but hard. Long lines and no parking for bad food is not my idea of a fun night out. This is probably a good place for "family night", when the kids 10 and under want to have some bland food because they're not accustomed to anything that tastes like real food yet. But don't go here looking for good pizza. You're not going ... read more
