John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

I’m a hotel hunter . I love to stay in nice and luxuries hotel every where I go . But I have bad experiences with this hotel , first they shouldn’t have in the family friendly hotel list , second they shouldn’t list in the luxury hotel list . The room is super small and dirty I don’t think they clean right after each guesses , I couldn’t sleep on their bed all night long and try to move to a different hotel .

It was a madhouse this weekend with the Tennessee Williams Festival and everything else going on in and around the hotel. Nevertheless, service was impeccable; hotel employees were gracious and helpful; and my room was an oasis of peace. I’ll be back!
I loved my stay at Hotel Monteleone! My husband and I visited in September 2015 and enjoyed our visit there. Our room was amazing with our view of the river, huge king bed, and looooved our bathroom especially the jacuzzi tub. Everyone who worked there were warm, welcoming, and friendly. We were always greeted in all part's of the hotel. In addition, I truly enjoyed my breakfasts there. This was our first visit to New Orleans and the staff couldn’t have made it any better. Upon check in, we were told our room had been upgraded because we were celebrating our anniversary. The room was stunning and so romantic! The views were amazing! We also found drink tickets waiting for us for a round of drinks at the Carousel Bar. The location is perfect and the roof top pool area was so cool. We had an amazing time, this hotel is not only historically interesting but so very beautiful! We will be back!!!
