John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

Sisters trip. Very nice hotel. The bellman has been extremely helpful. No microwave in the room so I couldn't bring my leftovers. I love the lobby. It's a lot going on at times but it's nice to sit and observe people. The room is very nice also. In room amenities are nice. About to try the Carousel for drinks.

This hotel is horrible. The people at the front don't open the doors for you or help you with your bags and there is no ramp for the stairs entering the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30pm after flying all day and got told our room wasn't ready and we would need to wait. After complaining to the manager they did sort it out though. There is no reservation or place to put your name down for the carosole and it is one to the public after 4 nights of staying at the hotel we were unable to get a seat. We loved every minute including our nighttime swim in the rooftop pool. By the way, room 737 is haunted! The curtains kept opening all night after we closed them.
We recently returned home from our second stay at this beautiful hotel. Not only is it beautiful to look at, the accommodations are wonderful. The hotel is clean and the staff go far and beyond to make you feel at home and have everything you need, starting with the doorman, Gerald!
